With Wings As Eagles
Isaiah 40:29-31 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. (30) Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: (31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

When I read this passage, it sounded so familiar and I believe I must have heard it many times before, but where? I recognized those words: wait upon the Lord, wings like eagle, not be weary and not faint. I had to repeat it to myself and it seemed to have rhythm to this passage. Yes, then I remembered that it was a church song that we sang many times before. I might be wrong but is it titled, “We will wait upon the Lord”? So this is where that song came from. Thanks Eva for sharing. And by the way, that is a nice painting of an eagle that is fitting for this passage. What medium did you use?
ReplyDeleteThank you...the painting of the eagle, I did for my husband...we share a love for eagles and majestic birds like that. The painting was done with watercolors. These verses are among my favorites...they really lift you up when you are feeling a bit down...and remind us that we must rely on our Great Lord.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your comment...God Bless!
Great Picture, Great Verse. You've really captured the power and supremacy of the bald eagle in your picture... The Lord has blessed you with a great artistic talent.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
